The Charity

The central aim of this event will be to riase publicty and funds for the Fischer Center – an international Alzheimers research foundation.

Alzheimers is a cause that I have been passionate about since seeing the devastating effects that it had on someone close to me. As such I am delighted to be able to support an international Alzhiemers research charity and know that all donations will be gratefuly recived.

The Fischer Center’s team of internationally renowned scientists, under the direction of Nobel laureate Dr. Paul Greengard, has been at the forefront of seminal research that has provided a conceptual framework for modern day investigations into Alzheimer’s disease. Their groundbreaking research is the key to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s by advancing truly effective therapies that arrest its development or prevent the illness altogether.

  1. Lewis, I applaud you for what you are doing. I am definitely supporting you and will make a donation.
I am a facilitator for an Alz. Caregivers support group and I was a caregiver for my spouse who suffered from Alz. Disease and it is truly the most devastating disease one could encounter.

  2. Lewis, big thank you for helping out this cause. I am also twenty-four. My dad was diagnosed when I was a sophomore in college (I was 19) and it has been a devastating journey for my mom (primary caregiver) and I. Can’t imagine a tougher battle. Again…thank you and safe travels.

  3. Thanks for taking on this challenge. My mother had Alzheimer’s Disease and it is such a painful experience. Losing the core of what makes up your identity…families losing family members long before they die…such a struggle…thank you. Hope you had some good food at Paula’s… ;0)

  4. I mounted a medium sized concave water ski mirror on the back of my Heritage and it works fantastic for seeing behind/in front of you.
Good luck and I would love to do what you’re doing!!
